Don Leone
- PGA Director of Instruction

2012 Northern California PGA Teacher of the year

Don’s career spans over 25 years of golf instruction and he serves as the PGA Director of Instruction at Coyote Creek Golf Club. Voted one of Northern California’s top ten Instructors, Don was also the recipient of Silicon Valley’s top instructor in 2003-2006.

Renowned for working with legendary instructors such as Jim Flick and Hank Haney, Don has also been the lead instructor for the ESPN Golf schools working throughout the U.S. In 2001, Don was the lead instructor for the Nicklaus/Flick Faults and Cure Schools at Coyote Creek as well as the lead instructor for the Nike National Junior Golf Camps. Don recently received his level 2 certification from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). By assessing a total picture of the body, swing, equipment, and instruction, Don will create a program that will help you optimize your performance.

Since 1995 Don has worked with local hospitals and the American Heart Association throughout Northern California coaching golf therapy for stroke and accident patients. Don’s instructional tips and articles can be found in local publications and newspapers.

Steve Vigiano PGA
- General Manager/PGA Director of Golf

Steve comes to Coyote Creek with over 25 years of teaching experience and specializes in teaching golfers with physical handicaps. Steve spent over 6 years conducting a program called challenge golf where he worked with stroke patients from the local hospital to rehabilitate them and teach them how to play golf once again and according to Steve it was the most rewarding experience of his career.

Steve’s area of expertise has always been the short game and golf course management this is where he has focused his teaching for the past 15 years.

Haeyoung Lee PGA
- Head Golf Professional

Haeyoung earned his PGA membership in 2008. As an Assistant Professional, he has assisted Don Leone, PGA Director of Instruction, in a number of junior programs and golf clinics. Haeyoung was a Member of New Mexico State Men’s Golf Team from 2002-2006. He continues to compete in local professional events and Northern California PGA Section events.

He had a very successful year in 2010, finishing 4th in the NCPGA Player of the Year and placing in the top 10 of the Assistant Division Player of the Year. He also participated in the Hanna-Wehrman Cup and Assistant Cup Match in 2010.

Jody Dartez PGA
- PGA Teaching Professional

With 15 years of golf instruction experience, Jody invites fun and energy in his teaching. A PGA member since 2000, he has enjoyed working at many local facilities like Pasatiempo GC, Sharon Heights GCC and Silver Creek Valley CC.

As the Head Golf Professional at Sharon Heights GCC for the last 8 years, Jody helped lead the instructional team offering adult /junior clinics and private lessons. Offering lessons in all facets of the game, Jody enjoys the short game most, as it inspires the feel and creativity of a player.
When not playing golf, Jody can be found on the links, on the ski slopes, or with his family enjoying any outdoor activity.

Felix Jasso PGA
- Assistant Golf Professional

Felix comes to Coyote Creek Golf Academy with over 20 years of learning, teaching and competing experience, in addition to 15 years of developing youth programs. Felix has experience in competing in both amateur and professional tournaments. Felix was an instructor with the First Tee of Silicon Valley, he also conducted several youth clinics for a variety of organizations throughout the Bay Area.

Felix has also developed his own program that teaches leadership skills and golf management through golf. Felix enjoys partnering with parents and together developing an individualized program for their youth that will set them on course to compete at a collegiate level or assist their youth learn a game they can play and enjoy for a life time.
